While all my classmates moved into their dorms at various colleges and universities- I got to start my “5th year” of high school. The school I’m attending is called UPAEP Plantel Atlixco and I’m in their 5th semester of classes- which is their senior year. For almost the entirety of the first day I had no idea what was happening! Luckily before she left, Lily introduced me to my new friend Vanya who so patiently guided me through the day. From what I've experienced the only similarity UPAEP has to dear ol´ Washington in that it's a place where you learn. The main differences are:
I´ve so far really enjoyed school- except for the 6 AM alarm- and getting to know all the amazing people I will spend the year with! See Ya! Isabel

Isabel, what a gift you are to your new classmates, family & friends. I know you will have a fabulous experience. Are Bananagrams a possibility?!

Unfortunately I did not bring Bananagrams- I think there’d be a bit of a language barrier with that game!

Ellen, language has been a bit difficult to handle due to the speed and all the colloquial vocabulary that they use here in Mexico. If I need something I am able to communicate that to people and I can usually follow conversations. I´m sure over the next month my confidence and vocabulary with increase which will help a lot.
