I'm staring down the end of my summer with only eighteen days left until my departure date. It doesn't feel like a typical end-of-summer. The school year I'm about to start is completely different than my past thirteen years of school. I'm nervous, excited and have only some idea of what to expect. This past week I attended RYLA: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Although the district 5970 Outbound students were in separate teams, spending time with them before we all start our exchanges was incredible. This group of seven passionate young adults have been my rock this past year. All of us have been preparing for our exchanges and building friendships I know will span across the five countries and cultures we will be living in this next year. To the District 5970 Outbounds: Hey team! I remember seeing some of you at the interviews and I had no idea just how amazing you all are. I looked forward to every training we had because I knew I would leave with this sense of hope for the future. Thank you all for being your unique selves, sharing your passions, teaching and listening to each other. I know I am better prepared for exchange with you all at my back and in my heart. Remember I believe in all of you and I can't wait to hear your stories. Love you all! These next two-plus weeks are going to be a whirlwind, I'm ready for the storm. Catch ya on the flip side, Isabel
